What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.

I love Braveheart. It is one of my favorite movies. I used to think "I want to be William Wallace when I grow up" (I'm 47). Then, I read John Eldredge's books. Eldredge helped me see that no one else can be the hero in my life. It's up to me. In my life, "I am William Wallace." Through Jesus Christ making me a new creation, "I am the hero in the story Christ is writing with my life."
Like Tim, I see Wallace as a Christ-figure. He lives His life in an epic story. He gives his life to win a bigger battle. Jesus lived, and still lives, in the greatest story ever told. He died to win the ultimate battle against sin, evil, and death. With His blood, He rescued His bride from Satan. What a Master! Wallace is one of my heroes, but Jesus is the Hero of heroes!
